My dearly beloved
Children how are you all this morning I hope you are as well as this leaves us. your very welcom letter came the day before yesterday but I was trying to finish Ednas quilt and could not afford to stop She thinks its the prettiest thing she ever saw the blocks are pink and tan joined with pale blue and it is qulted nice She thought I couldent quilt but she has changed her mind and every one that came in while I was quilting thought it very nice. I guess I will get to make one for a laddy in [?] Nacco or double irish chain I have the blocks for another quilt for Edna I want to finish that and por Mattie She is heart sick She did get the rapings of her finger everthing is gone out of her house but her cupboard and a few little trinkets her pretty quilt and all the blocks that I pieced she wants to come to Hyrum but he dont want her too I think he aught to take her and Inna [?] and take care of them he gets fifty dollars a month and with their help he cold get along poor soul I feel sorry for her She is so homesick She can hardly stand it I dont think She enjoyes living there I think She feels like I do She would like a little gospel micksed in once in a while it gets very mounotonous when you dont hear a prayer only what you utter yourself and have to go off by yourself to hear that. Edna wants me to stay until Christmass but I dont know whether I can or not She is so good to me I hate to go and leave her for she will be alone all day when I am gone or the most of the time Wilford and Willie are down in Mexico after cattle. now have you heard about Edith leaving Charly I got a letter from Hettie she went to see them a found them Separated She said She didint love him and never did he talked her into marrying him Hettie says She heard that She was running around with girles and boys that have a bad repirtation goes to parties with them and they go out of the dances and drink and smoke I am heart sick over it I was not surprised I knew when I was there if she did not change they wouldent stay togather long She is in the rong. I cant hear how Lorin and Florence are making it whether they have made up or not. Jessie is married again and I hope Willie never gets another wife he is not worthy of a wife. Fay says he is not going to get married until he know he loves the one he marrys and then stay with her I told him that was a very wise conclusion I think it is something dredful the way Wills children are doing I am Satisfied he knows it and grieves over it I was feeling bad one day and he said Ma dont weep for weep for the ones that are left and I feel that is just the way we don’t need to weep for them they are all right but Oh dear the way their children is a sight
Roy is so lazy he cant hold a job any time I don’t know how these younger ones are going to come out I hope they will make a better record than the older ones have. Well I must stop this subject or I will get the blues.
I was so glad to that your children doing you aught to be a thankfull mother and was glad to that little picture they it was cut I am so glad he is hope he wont have another back set I want the children so bad how is Cora and baba and her mother did Cora get my vail I left at that rooming house I left it hanging on the door knob
has many of the left or are they waiting to see if we can go back I want to go back so bad but I hope it wont be old Mexico when we go back did Mary get little [?] Bleavei back again I heard that his folks got him the second time
did the Mexicans get the furnature out of your hous and the pictures they dident take Wills they throwed it on the floor and broke the galls how far do you life from Saddie I wrote her but have not had an answer how are they little Mable how is she I wish the Lord would release her little soul I am alone to day Edna for an out with one of her friends She is such a nice woman and is so good to Edna the boys are here but they are out all the time so I am alone.
Well good by and God bless you lovingly Ma and Grand Ma
Edna sends love
